On October 18, 2014, Sitka will mark the 146th anniversary of the transfer of the Russian claim of Alaska to the United States of America.
The community of Sitka commemorates this event each year during its Alaska Day Festival. To commemorate this event, Air Station Sitka will be hosting our traditional Open House on Saturday, October 11, 2014, from 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM.
