While the NOA requirement changes only affect vessels over 300 Gross Tons, the new AIS requirements that previously only applied to Tenders and Processors operating within a Vessel Traffic System (VTS) will now apply to all fishing, tender and processor vessels 65 feet and over regardless of where they operate. The rule goes into effect on March 1st of 2016.
