AMSEA trains new instructors in our 48-hour, Marine Safety Instructor Training (MSIT) courses. We just wrapped up a course in Ketchikan and have more courses planned in 2015: one in Seward in April, and another private course in Seattle in June.
The MSIT is a USCG-accepted, 6-day, intensive train-the-trainer course. This program is designed to train individuals to effectively teach cold water survival procedures, marine safety equipment and onboard safety drills. The course is designed for those wanting to teach cold-water safety and survival in a variety of settings – for commercial fishermen, private businesses or government agencies, for recreational boaters, in schools, etc.
If you are interested in a course, please visit the MSIT page on our website! Or give us a call for more information about registering or even setting up a private course for your organization.
