AMSEA has had strong interest in recreational boating safety classes throughout Southeast Alaska this year. Since April, we have conducted classes aimed at the safety needs of canoe & kayak paddlers, sailors, and power boaters in the communities of Juneau, Sitka, Haines, Angoon, Hydaburg, Klawock, and Metlakatla.
Upcoming, we have a class in Sitka on October 23, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM and October 24 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This hands-on workshop will cover the following classroom topics:
