For the second year in a row AMSEA has offered Fishing Vessel Drill Conductor workshops to commercial fishermen on the Great Lakes. Today, AMSEA instructors, Ron Kinnunen and Jerry Dzugan, are completing two weeks of Fishing Vessel Drill Conductor workshops in Michigan and Wisconsin. Wisconsin workshops were held in Red Cliff and Sturgeon Bay. In Michigan, we had workshops in Baraga, Naubinway, Suttons Bay, and Bayport. In the above photo, Chippewa/Ottawa commercial fishermen practice donning immersions suits at the Drill Conductor workshop held at held in the Top of the World Snowmobile museum in Naubinway.

Each workshop was well attended and participation was enthusiastic. Ron did a great job in getting the word out to local commercial fishermen about these workshops.
