BBRSDA Wants You! (to teach F/V Drill Conductor classes in Bristol Bay)

The Bristol Bay Regional Seafood Development Association has teamed up with AMSEA to create a scholarship program to train three new Marine Safety Instructors to teach in the Bristol Bay region. Selected applicants will receive a full tuition scholarship from AMSEA to attend our Marine Safety Instructor Training in Seward, Alaska, April 23-28, 2019, a $995 value. BBRSDA will pay for travel, food, and lodging.

To be considered, you must fish commercially and be based seasonally or year round in Dillingham or Naknek. You must apply before March 8, 2019, and you must commit to teaching at least two Fishing Vessel Drill Conductor classes in the Bristol Bay region in advance of the 2019 salmon season.

BBRSDA will even pay you to teach your class and pay for the cost of putting it on. They really want to make sure that their fishermen come home from fishing, safe & sound, with a big haul of reds!

If you are looking to become a Marine Safety Instructor, you won't find a better deal than this. Click here to learn more about the BBRSDA Marine Safety Instructor Scholarships and to apply.
