Welcoming Coral and Romi to AMSEA

kiley prinz

Please join us in welcoming Coral Pendell and Romi Manela to the AMSEA staff. AMSEA has always been fortunate to have engaged and dedicated employees who are passionate about creating positive change in the community. Coral and Romi are no exception.

Coral is returning to AMSEA as the course coordinator. She grew up trolling in Sitka, AK and purchased her own troller at 21. With a lifetime on the water, she is a tremendous asset to the team, and we are thrilled to have her back.

Romi is joining AMSEA as an AmeriCorps member. She is focusing on AMSEA training in the schools and assisting with AMSEA's setnet gillnet research project. After working for a food bank in New Mexico and a Public Health Commission in Boston, Romi's experience and degree in public health allows her to easily transition to marine safety and the role that AMSEA training plays in reducing injury and death on the water.

With our entire team's unwavering dedication to coordinating and teaching classes nationwide, we are excited to start the new training season. Their commitment is a source of pride and motivation for all of us.

Please let us know if you want marine safety classes in your region. With a network of dedicated instructors, we can pull classes together almost anywhere!
